Road Trip

My friend Katie picked me up from school at noon (thanks better-than-a-jeans-pass!) and made it to Savannah by 4. Not surprising, we talked the entire way. 

We checked into our hotel and then went to check out the book sale tent for the festival before walking to dinner at The Grey. The front is this very cool art deco diner, while the back is one of the most expensive restaurants in Savannah- we sat in the front. The food was delicious!  We decided to walk along River Street. The weather was lovely- about 70 degrees. We stopped to look at the statues, a really cool artist's shop, and the candy store before taking the recommendation of the artist we met and going to a dessert bar. Snickers cake and a sparking wine for me!

We walked back to the hotel and I was in my jammies by 9:00 and falling asleep by 10. Perfect for me, though I imagine it was a little early for my Night Owl friend. Looking forward to the Book Festival and more exploring today!
