Today we have a Reese's Egg eacha and a bag of jelly beans to share. Buying my own Easter candy is way less fun than when my mommy used to do it! Not only did she fill the baskets with our favorite candy and a new movie but she his our baskets (really well!) even through my teen years. Good thing she gave me so many good ideas for hiding spots for when Korra's old enough to enjoy the tradition!

Nap time Resistance
Korra is fighting sleep with everything she's got. I know she's exhausted, but she's in her crib crawling around and crying for me to come get her. I know if I just leave her alone for 10 minutes she'll be out, but the crying now is breaking my heart.

Perfect Birthday Wearher
We walked to my favorite downtown restaurant for lunch. The weather is perfect, the food was delicious, and the company was fantastic.

Sweet Potatoes
Watching Korra try sweet potatoes was like watching AL try asparagus. Lots of making terrible faces and gagging noises. And yes, we laughed at them both.

Work Day
Thankful that tomorrow is a teacher work day. Not only are we having a catered breakfast, but I get to go home for lunch, AND I'll get so much done without my assistant around to distract me!

Juliet Gordon Lowe House
Going to meet my mom and brother at the Girl Scouts founder's house. Been to Savannah 4 times but this will be the first time I get to visit there! After that, it's off to my sister's baby shower!

6 Month Check-Up
Korra's got her 6 month checkup this morning. Looking forward to finding out how much she's grown. Not looking forward to the shots.

Not Sleepy
Korra is trying her hardest to convince me she's not sleepy. She'll just about fall asleep (in my arms, in the car, in her crib) and then she'll pop that little head back up, smile at me, and start babbling. Thankfully, I have off tomorrow so this is just amusing rather than frustrating.

Alternate Cat Perches
In the the absence of our living room furniture the cats are trying to find other places to curl up. Nate just found one in Korra's crib and the other on her changing table.
Clean Carpets
Got our carpets professionally cleaned today. Tomorrow we'll rearrange our remaining furniture and we're getting our roof checked out. Very few things left on my Before We Put the House Up for Sale list.

Korra at 6 months
Korra can roll over both ways and can sit up on her own for a little bit. She can stand up when holding onto something. She doesn't have any teeth yet and isn't especially interested in cereal. She still usually wakes up once a night to nurse but she goes right back to sleep for a total of 9-10 hours per night. She takes 3-4 30-45 minute naps a day. She goes down for naps pretty easily with her pacifier. She smiles easily and is content most of the time. People are always saying how cute and alert she is and they compliment her big, bright eyes. Korra loves the bath, petting Mrs Reynolds, going on walks, kicking off her socks, and putting just about anything in her mouth. She loves it when we sing to her and read her books. She especially likes Brown Bear, Brown Bear. Korra is ticklish on her ribs and armpits. She doesn't like the sound of the vacuum cleaner or when anyone blows raspberries at her. She doesn't really like the car. Rides in the car do not make her sleepy.
While that wasn't very brief, I think it will be good to have this to look back on. The last 6 months have flown by. I want to make sure I remember these little things.
