It's not often that I get jealous of other teachers end-of-year gifts. Usually they're coffee mugs, scented lotion, or homebaked goodies- all of which are wonderful, but just don't inspire jealously. But today a teacher down the hall got an honest-to-God live chicken as a gift. And I'm a little bit jealous.

i REALLY REALLY sincerely hope that there is a backstory to why someone felt it was ok to gift a live farm animal...
We live in a rural area. Why would it NOT be ok to give a live farm animal as a gift? :)
Didn't teachers and doctors used to be paid in livestock and produce?
