I nearly had a librarian heart attack today when I found 4th graders had been instructed to do a research project using Wikipedia and Google.

Ahh, that's a great chance to teach critical reading (trusted sources versus those that may not always be reliable). I covered that a lot when I taught research papers. The Internet makes that topic much more important.
Oh that's just sad. And wrong. Shame on those teachers.
oh gosh.... wikipedia... i mean i use it a lot... and its so easy... BUT quite UNTRUSTWORTHY!! whats the world coming to
