It took forever for my gmail page to load and I thought that IT might have finally figured out how I'm getting around their email block. I know it's ridiculous, but that thought had me in a total panic. I didn't realize how dependent I've become on this connection to the outside world.

I can relate! One day a couple of weeks ago gmail was all the sudden not coming up. I started thinking I was being cut off from my sanity line in the world outside of school. Turns out, the school district server was crazy and was making everyone else crazy with its problems...Oh, school district.
