My new coteacher and I are lesson planning machines. We've knocked out our plans for 2 weeks in a row in about an hour each time. She's not as exciting and inspiring as Clint was last year. She's not my co-teaching soul mate. But so far, we're working well. Also, she has experience working with elementary kids (I have none) and I have a group of students that are elementary level readers. I'm hopeful this will be a peaceful, easy-ish year where these kids grow a lot.
