Go Home

This morning we played balloon volleyball over the dividing bookcase, pictionary, and blind and seek. Then we had our 6th grade awards ceremony. The other 3 classes all planned parties after. My coteacher and I didn't even think of that. The other 3 classes had half their students check out after the party. Only one of our students left. The parents said, "do you want to stay?" and the kids said yes. Why won't they go home?!

In the afternoon most of the students went to play outside. I had a small group in my room who wanted to read and color. The conversation turned to Harry Potter (as it inevitably does) and before I knew it, an hour had passed as we listened to The Sorcerer's Stone and colored.  It was the highlight of my school day.
